These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the ExtraHands Houston website and the helping-hands services we provide ("Services"). By requesting a booking or otherwise using our Services, you agree to these Terms.
1. Who we are
ExtraHands Houston ("ExtraHands", "we", "us") provides on-demand helping-hands assistance for everyday tasks around your home in the greater Houston, Texas area.
2. Scope of services
Our services are limited to the kinds of tasks described in our Scope of services. We do not perform licensed trade work or any work that requires professional certification or permits.
3. Bookings, quotes and pricing
- All bookings are subject to acceptance and helper availability.
- Quotes are provided in advance based on the information you share.
- Hourly bookings are subject to a one-hour minimum.
- If the scope of the task changes on site, we will re-quote before continuing.
4. Your responsibilities
- Provide safe, lawful access to the location where work will be performed.
- Accurately describe the task, including any hazards or fragile items.
- Ensure any pets are secured and children supervised while we work.
- Own or have permission to move or handle the items involved.
5. Tasks we do not perform
To keep our team and your home safe, ExtraHands does not perform tasks that involve high physical risk or specialized qualifications. This includes, without limitation:
- Work at heights (roofs, extension ladders, elevated structures)
- Operation of heavy machinery or power equipment beyond standard hand tools
- Electrical, plumbing, gas, HVAC or other licensed trade work
- Handling of hazardous, toxic or biohazard materials
- Any task that a reasonable person would consider unsafe
6. Safe working environment
The client is responsible for providing a safe working environment for our staff. This includes reasonable access to the work area, secured pets, adequate lighting, and disclosure of any known hazards (unstable floors, exposed wiring, pest infestations, etc.) before work begins. We may pause or decline a task on site if conditions are unsafe.
7. Limits of our work and liability
Because our Services consist of general helping-hands work rather than licensed trade work, we do not warrant a technical result or the ongoing performance of any item we move, assemble or handle. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from a booking is limited to the amount you paid for that booking. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages.
6. Cancellation
You may cancel or reschedule a booking at any time before the helper arrives. Late cancellations after the helper has been dispatched may be subject to a reasonable travel fee, which will always be communicated to you first.
7. Payments
Payment is due on completion of the task unless otherwise agreed in writing.
8. Prohibited use
You may not request work that is unlawful, unsafe, or outside our Scope of services. We may decline or stop any task at our discretion.
9. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts located in Harris County, Texas.
