ExtraHands Houston is an on-demand helping-hands service. We provide friendly, non-specialist assistance with everyday tasks around the home that benefit from an extra pair of hands.
What we help with
- Lifting, carrying and moving items around the home, garage or yard
- Loading and unloading vehicles or rental trucks
- Rearranging rooms and moving furniture
- Assembling ready-to-build (flat-pack) furniture
- Organizing closets, garages, attics and storage areas
- Sorting, packing, unpacking and hauling out unwanted items
- Light yard cleanup and general tidying
- Errands such as grocery runs and store pickups
- Party setup and breakdown
- Any similar "two-hands" task discussed and agreed upon in advance
Out of scope
To keep our service simple, safe and honest, ExtraHands does not perform any work that requires a licensed trade, carries a workmanship warranty, or otherwise commits us to a technical result. This includes, without limitation:
- Plumbing installation or repair
- Electrical installation or repair
- HVAC installation, service or repair
- Roofing, structural or foundation work
- Gas line, appliance hookup or hard-wired appliance work
- Any work that requires permits, licenses or specialized certification
- Medical, childcare or professional caregiving services
- Transport of hazardous materials

How pricing works
We offer hourly and flat-rate pricing. Any quote is provided in advance and agreed upon before work begins. A one-hour minimum applies to hourly bookings.
Results and liability
Because our work consists of general helping-hands tasks rather than licensed trade work, we do not warranty a technical result or the ongoing performance of any item we move, assemble or handle. Our full liability terms are set out in our Terms of service.
